The Andhra Premier League’s inaugural season will include official scoring on CricHeroes, the world’s largest cricket network for amateur players (APL). The Andhra Cricket Association has partnered with CricHeroes as one of their official scoring partners for their domestic T20 League, which is also the official scoring platform of the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League.
The Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam will host the inaugural season of the Andhra Premier Tournament, the official T20 league of the Andhra Cricket Association, which is affiliated with the BCCI, from July 6 through July 17, 2022. Six teams from six distinct Andhra Pradesh regions will compete in the Andhra Premier League’s debut season, which is set to begin on July 6, 2022.
A round-robin schedule will be used for the league, followed by the play-offs. The championship game will be held on July 17. There will be 15 games in the league stage, followed by four games in the playoff stage. The two games of the doubleheader will kick off at 1 PM and 6:30 PM IST. Some Andhra stars, including Ricky Bhui, KS Bharat, and Ashwin Hebbar, will compete in the competition.
Numerous domestic cricket leagues in India and elsewhere can be found on CricHeroes. On the CricHeroes platform, the Bangladesh Premier League was recently officially scored. Around the cricketing world, CricHeroes has several domestic and international associations as official partners, including, to name a few, the Afghanistan Cricket Board and Bangladesh Cricket Board.
The application simplifies the scoring procedure, which players, coaches, and officials can use both in real-time and at any time. Meet Shah, co-founder of CricHeroes, expressed his thoughts on the partnership by saying, “We are thrilled to work with the Andhra Cricket Association for the first Andhra Premier League. The players will have a platform to examine their performances and keep a record of them thanks to this relationship, which CricHeroes has been working on for the development and progress of grassroots cricketers.
“The Andhra Premier League’s debut season will feature seasoned state cricketers as well as up-and-coming talent from the state who can access CricHeroes’ capabilities to have a record of their exploits. In addition, it will make it simpler for the tournament scorers to record their scores digitally, according to Satya Prasad Yachendra, chairman of the APL Governing Council.
