The Indian EV charging station industry is highly fragmented, with multiple private and public institutions establishing charging infrastructure around the country. In the Indian market, there are many types of EV chargers available, including Type 1, Type 2, AC and DC, unidirectional and bidirectional charging for e4W (electric 4-wheeler), e3W (electric 3-wheeler), and e2W (electric 2-wheeler).

The Indian government has also established a number of measures to encourage electric vehicles and improve charging infrastructure, such as the FAME (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles) scheme.

- Delta Electronics India Pvt Ltd: The Delta Group, is a division of a pioneer company created in 1971 and has its global headquarters in Taiwan. It has been active in India since 2003 as a member of Delta Group, Delta Electronics India Private Limited is well-known for its power and energy management business. Power electronics, automation, and infrastructure are the three business sectors to which Delta Electronics India is actively contributing. The company aims to offer breakthrough, eco-friendly, and energy-efficient solutions for a brighter and more sustainable future. They offer a range of EV charging solutions including AC chargers, DC fast chargers, and multi-standard chargers. The company is partnered with MG Motors and EV Motors to enable the EV charging wave in the Mumbai Region. On the other hand, CPO and Charge+Zone facilitate Ahmedabad Municipal Transport by providing 150kW DC fast charging. Delta has supplied 8000+ chargers in India to date and has delivered over 1 million chargers globally.
- Charge Zone: Charge Zone is one of the leading global companies to have a fully integrated technology, powered by software systems with hardware and renewable energy capabilities. They have made a leap in our ecosystem and thereby created a playbook of Fleet Electrification (B2B) and Inter-City Retail EV Charging (B2C). Charge Zone has built an extensive network of electric bus charging stations to strengthen public EV charging infrastructure in the country. - Magenta Power: Magenta Power is another prominent EV charging station provider in India, with a focus on DC fast-charging technology. They have a presence in over 25 cities and offer a range of charging solutions for homes, offices, and public spaces.
- Glida: Glida, previously known as Fortum Charge & Drive India, is planning to set up 3,000 e-passenger vehicle (EV) charging points across India by March 2025. Backed by the Finnish government, Glida currently has 450 charging points in 15 Indian states. GLIDA is the most advanced solution for operating a charging network. Fortum’s program for electric transportation has been ongoing in various forms since the 1980s, and in 2011 it was commercialized under the Charge & Drive brand. The brand has ventured in India making it the first country outside Europe in the Charge & Drive space. In July 2023 the brand’s identity was renewed to GLIDA in India.
