Toyota dispatches the first batch of Urban Cruiser compact SUV

Recently, under its agreement with Maruti Suzuki, Toyota launched the new Urban Crusier compact SUV. The company has announced that ahead of the festive season they have dispatched the first batch of Urban Cruisers.

The price for the top variant is about Rs,8,40,000 and goes all the way up to about Rs.11,30,000 (all prices ex-showroom). The latest Urban Cruiser is being used by Toyota as an entry-segment SUV. TKM also aims to give clients an early entry into the Toyota SUV family while enjoying the legendary sales and service experience of the brand along with the benefits of value-added services, according to the company’s statement. The Urban Cruiser is backed by a 3-year or 1 lakh km superior guarantee, whichever comes earlier.

The company announced in a statement that it is following up on its promise to begin the dispatch of its new sub-compact SUV ahead of the festive season. In the month of August, pre-booking for the Urban Cruiser first began. The SUV has received a very encouraging response from customers across the country, according to the company.

 Mr. Naveen Soni, TKM’s Senior Vice President, Sales, and Service, Commented on the announcement that, They are extremely excited to announce that, as promised during the launch, TKM has delivered the first package of the Urban Cruiser even before the start of the festive season. It is their absolute privilege and pleasure to receive such a promising reaction to the Urban Cruiser from the customers. They will continue to concentrate on the timely launch of new goods with a customer-first mindset and a committed desire to meet the aspirations of consumers, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser is another such attempt to serve the changing customer needs.

The new SUV is based on the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and is also powered by the same powertrain. The Urban Cruiser is powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder K-Series gasoline engine and will be available with manual and automatic transmission options.

In terms of variations, a total of six options will be offered by Toyota. With Mid-Grade, it begins with the base variant and goes up to Premium Grade AT. The Urban Cruiser arrives with safety features such as hill hold control, dual front airbags, an electronic brake force distribution anti-lock braking system,  and an audio display with a reverse parking camera.
