Trailer Park Group, the content production and entertainment marketing company, announced the acquisition of Mumbai-based creative boutique, White Turtle Studios, expanding its geographic reach and market capabilities to serve global media, gaming, entertainment, and technology clients with premium creative, strategy, and production expertise locally.

This move aims Trailer Park Group at the centre of India and APAC’s explosive growth in entertainment and media which is currently estimated at $28B and considered one of the fast-growing markets. The industry is projected to reach $100B by 2030, according to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB). India is also expected to capture $40B of the global market share in the animation, gaming, visual effects, and comics(AVGC) sector by 2025.

Trailer Park Group works with many of the world’s largest media and technology companies, studios, networks, and streaming platforms like Disney, HBO, Amazon Studios, Netflix, and Xbox, and is responsible for some of the world’s globally recognizable entertainment marketing campaigns, including Marvel’s Avengers, Stranger Things, Spiderman, Pokémon, Xbox’s Game Pass, and Jurassic World.

Rick Eiserman, CEO of Trailer Park Group, said that many of their longstanding studio and streaming clients have asked for additional support in APAC and that is a critical step in truly putting Trailer Park Group in India and across the broader Asia-Pacific region.

White Turtle Studios’ expertise in design, production, creativity, and strategy is great in India. They are combining with Trailer Park Group to provide global offerings at a local level. White Turtle Studios are a key Amazon partner in India, working with Prime Video locally in the market since the service launch in 2016.

White Turtle Studios was founded in 2012 by Ankit Bhatia and Avinash Rajan—two entrepreneurs with a deep passion for the entertainment industry combined with high-level creative and technical expertise. Bhatia and Rajan will continue to co-lead White Turtle Studios’ 140-person Mumbai office.

Ankit Bhatia said that Trailer Park Group is an ideal partner in terms of its commitment to creativity, and its vision for growth. They are honoured to join forces to create a global creative powerhouse and offer local flavour and customized, consumer insights to better serve Indian marketing efforts for worldwide clients.

Avinash Rajan said that their ten-year journey at White Turtle Studios had been exhilarating, but they are ready to accelerate their growth with Trailer Park Group and push the boundaries of what’s possible in India and APAC. He shared that above everything, they are ecstatic that Trailer Park Group shares their belief in providing opportunities for young people in India and fueling the next generation of the entertainment industry.

In August 2021, Trailer Park Group accepted a growth investment from Erie Street and Origami Capital to increase its competitive advantage across the entertainment market landscape.
