Deepavali means “a row of lights,” with “deep” meaning “light” and “avali” meaning “row.” For a reason, Deepavali is known as the “Festival of Lights.” According to the Hindu calendar, Diwali is celebrated on the 15th day of the lunar month.

Diwali is a festival of fresh beginnings, with cleanliness being a key component in bringing peace and prosperity into everyone’s home. On this occasion, Ambuja Cement, through its film “The Strength It Takes to Spread Joy Around the World,” invites everyone to start caring for and cleaning not just their homes but also their surroundings.

During Diwali, individuals often clean and brighten their homes in preparation for the auspicious celebration, paying little regard to their surroundings. What belongs to everyone frequently becomes no one’s responsibility.

The new film by Ambuja Cement encourages people to share responsibility for shared spaces. The plot centres around a young boy who wants to clean up a neighbourhood, but he first has to resist the force of old habits, which he overcomes through grit and perseverance.

The child contributes to bringing apathy to light and making the world a better place. It is our obligation, not someone else’s, that keep our surroundings neat and clean. The film also conveys the notion that individuals must begin caring not only for their homes but also for the rest of the globe.

On Diwali, the film was released. According to the firm, this film urges people to strengthen their resolve to treat their surroundings with the same care and respect that they do in their homes.
