Tribute to unsung warriors

Bravehearts‘ a new and unique digital campaign about to be launched by Vedanta. Vedanta Group is one of India’s leading natural resources producers, launch ‘Braveheart’ as a recognition to the heroes that helped the people overcome their limitations. The new campaign tells the story of ordinary people who rose from everyday surroundings to create extraordinary stories through their humanitarian initiatives. 

Vedanta Limited is one of India’s diversified natural resources companies. The company mainly produces zinc-lead-silver, Iron ore, Steel, Copper, Aluminium, oil, and Gas. They strive to create a positive impact the society and leave a mark of pride. Founded by  D.P.Agarwal Vedanta had humble beginnings in the 1980s as Sterlite Industries (India) Limited in Mumbai. Then, they began to buy mining concessions in different states of India. Navin Agarwal and Sunil Agarwal, sons of D.P.Agarwal, both of whom currently run the company. In 1992, they accepted Volcan investments in Nassau Bahamas as the top holding company for their mines. D.P.Agarwal had a small aluminum conductor business in Patna. His son Anil Agarwal came to Mumbai to expand their business

Speaking about the campaign, Roma Balwani, Senior Director, Communications & Brand, Vedanta, said: “Bravehearts is our humble tribute to the unsung Covid heroes who stepped out of their comfort zones to make a difference in the society and thereby spreading a message of positivity and hope. The pandemic has changed the world, and people get together to help out others, and we feel their efforts need to be appreciated by one and all.”  

A short video showcasing real-life stories will be released soon as a part of the campaign. One such story is Aakansha Sadekar, who cooked meals for children and women on the streets and frontline workers in hospitals. As a result, Aakansha was able to deliver more than 2,50,000 hot meals to those in need within a short span of 60 days. Vedanta launched its brand campaign ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ earlier this year. The campaign highlights Vendatas contributions towards building a new India. It dwells on ways that the nation can become self-reliant, highlighting Vedanta’s contribution towards building a New India. The brand campaign focused on how Vedanta contributes to the day-to-day life of an ordinary Indian through its diversified offering, including oil and gas, zinc, lead, silver, copper, iron ore, steel, aluminum, and power.
