Triumph Motorcycles based in the United Kingdom announced the launch of Tiger 800 XR bike in India for a price tag of Rs 10.50 lakh as per the ex-showroom pricing in Delhi.

Regarding the launch of the Tiger 800 XR bike in India, Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director of Triumph Motorcycles India stated they are very happy to launch the new Tiger 800 XR bike in India in three months after the launch of the XRx and XCx from the manufacturer. Notably, these vehicles have received an enormous positive response from the valued customers in India.

The Tiger 800 XR is a more comfortable as well refined bike launched by Triumph Motorcycles and it has greater fuel efficiency, improved touring capability and more agility. There is an 800 cc three cylinder engine powering the bike with the ability to render 94 bhp power output. The engine has been revamped bringing several changes in order to reduce the mechanical noise that is produced by it. Also, it has become lighter and highly precise as it makes use of the parts of Triumph Daytona 675.

The assembling of the Tiger XR will be carried over via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route in the country, stated the executive. The CKD bike is a vehicle that is exported or imported in different parts of the country, but it is not done as an assembled unit. Such vehicles are initially sent the manufacturer’s assembly plant in the country where they are released and these parts will be assembled to make a complete vehicle that is made of imported components.

Triumph Motorcycles India has managed to grab a sales figure of nearly 2,000 units ever since its launch in the country before 18 months. The launch of the Tiger XR by the manufacturer adds another bike to the company’s portfolio that already includes four adventure motorcycles and 14 bikes in across five categories.
