Kolkata, 1st June: In 2021 TV9 Bangla first decided to recognise the efforts of educational institutions in achieving academic excellence. That was also the year when TV9 Bangla began its journey. Continuing that endeavour, TV9 Bangla organised “Uttaran Academic Excellence Awards & Expo 2023” on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
The event was being held at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in New Town, Kolkata. Universities from outside are also participating in this year’s expo which have begun today and will be till 2nd June. Students will also get new directions and ideas from the stalls being put up this year.
Prominent personalities Education Minister Bratya Basu and Fire and Emergency Services Minister Sujit Basu has graced the occasion and veteran educationists such as Pabitra Sarkar, Nrisingha Prasad Bhaduri, Suranjan Das (Vice-chancellor of Jadavpur University), Amitava Datta (Pro-VC of Jadavpur University), Nirmalya Narayan Chakraborty (Vice-Chancellor of Rabindra Bharati University), Soma Bandyopadhyay (Vice-Chancellor of Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University), Siddhartha Majumdar (School Service Commission Chairman), Ramanuj Gangopadhyay (President of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education) attended the event. Key officials of some of the front ranking private educational institutes was also present at the event.
