The mobile version of Twitter will get new shopping features soon. According to reports, the micro-blogging site is testing new changes that would allow users to look for items directly from the Twitter application. This will be helpful for individuals who sell items online and for purchasers who depend more on online shopping.
According to social media expert Matt Navara, Twitter is testing a new card that contains connections to product pages on a shop’s website. He revealed on Twitter that the card shows another Product name, shop name, item cost, and shop button. Confirming the same, Twitter told TechCrunch that the company is indeed working on a feature.
“We’re restarting to find new ways to support more commerce on Twitter. We know individuals come to Twitter to interact with brands and discuss their favourite items. In fact, you may have even noticed some businesses already developing creative ways to enable sales on our platform,” Twitter Revenue Lead, Bruce Falck, revealed to Tech Crunch.
” This demand gives us confidence in the power of combining real-time conversation with an engaged and intentional audience. Imagine easily found, and immediately bought, a new skincare item or trendy sneaker from a brand you follow with only a few clicks,” Falck added.
The additional feature is being made available to an exceptionally modest number of users at present. Twitter has not shared its plans of a larger rollout as of now.
Earlier in February, Twitter announced its plans of rolling out a paid membership service called Super Follow. The feature will provide access to exclusive deals, content to creators for a monthly pay.
Twitter’s Super Follow mode will offer a chance to creators to earn money on the platform. Twitter will charge the followers and give them access to exclusive content including tweets, a badge indicating support, membership to the newsletter, and more. Twitter would charge a monthly pay of $4.99 for a Super Follow membership. This will assist the publisher with bringing in cash from his fans.
“Exploring audience funding chances like Super Follows will allow creators and publishers to be directly supported by their audience and will boost them to keep making content that their audience loves,” Twitter said in an statement. Twitter has not officially carried out the Super Follow feature yet.
