To Empower Girl Students for Defence Exams
- Unacademy signs MoU with Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Department of Education, Government of Tripura
- Unacademy to conduct 2 aptitude tests over 1 year in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan to identify and award meritorious girl students from Tripura
- A total 250 meritorious girl students to receive free scholarships (Unacademy subscription) to prepare for defence exams
- Scholarship tests to be conducted on the Unacademy platform over the course of the next one year
India, October 8, 2021: Unacademy, India’s largest learning platform, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Govt. of Tripura to empower meritorious girl students from the state to prepare for NDA exams.
As per the MoU, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan(Dept. of Education, Govt. of Tripura) and Unacademy will conduct two aptitude tests over the next 12 months to select 125 meritorious students in each exam and award them study scholarships on Unacademy for the NDA/Defence course. A total of 250 girl students will receive the benefits of these scholarships, which is a one-year free Unacademy Plus subscription for Defence exams.
The Government of India, in a historic decision, has allowed women to enter the NDA, so far, a bastion reserved for men.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ratan Lal Nath, Hon’ble Minister for Education, Govt of Tripura said “At the start of the holy Navratri, we see this collaboration with Unacademy as true service to girl students. The State of Tripura will produce more women warriors who would serve this nation, access to quality content would be at the centre of this defence coaching program.”
