India, 16th October 2022: Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon ‘22 saw participation from across the globe. A 25-member delegation from Foxconn, led by the company’s director, Mr Sam Chen, also ran the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Akarsh Hebbar, Global MD, Vedanta’s Semiconductor & Display Business said, “It is a matter of great pride to host our partner Foxconn in the world’s most prestigious half marathon, the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon ’22. The union accelerates the ability of both to be the catalyst for change and positive impact as we join the #RunForZeroHunger. As we run together at the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon, we’re also getting closer with every kilometer to more meals for those who need to be fed. This is the beginning of a great Vedanta – Foxconn partnership that will transform India’s electronics ecosystem giving rise to millions of jobs.”

Vedanta and Foxconn have joined hands in India to manufacture semiconductor chips in Gujarat. This project will attract multiple upstream and downstream ecosystem players to invest and will create multi-fold employment opportunities.
