Ø The approval accorded by world’s leading inspection and certification firm is an endorsement of Venus Remedies’ impeccable distribution, operations and processes
Mumbai, March 9, 2022: Venus Remedies Ltd, one of India’s leading research-driven pharmaceutical companies, has received the coveted WHO Good Distribution Practices (GDP) Certification from Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS), the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, in a resounding endorsement of its quality services throughout the entire supply chain cycle.
Committed to quality in every aspect of its services right from the manufacturing stage to delivery of products to end-consumers, Venus Remedies has consistently maintained impeccable standards in its distribution, operations and processes through proven quality management systems.
SGS, the global benchmark in quality with a network of more than 2,600 offices and laboratories across the world, awarded the WHO GDP certification to Venus Remedies following an elaborate audit. Internationally accepted pharmaceutical GDP regulations stipulate that distributors of pharmaceutical products and warehouses must align their operations with the specified standards.
“This independent assessment of compliance against stringent international GDP requirements involved minute scrutiny of the processes of Venus Remedies as well as its supply chain partners, and we cleared it in the first go. The credit for this goes to our team’s perseverance and commitment towards setting new standards of excellence,” said Peeyush Jain, Deputy Managing Director, Venus Remedies.
Jain said that in keeping with its Mission 2025 roadmap, Venus Remedies is achieving its goals one after another to stay ahead of the curve. “Maintaining excellence in all that we do, we have always been at the forefront when it comes to innovation, work culture, customer relations, quality of services and adoption of technological advancements,” he said.
Adopting a 360-degree customer-centric approach to increase transparency and efficiency in the pharmaceutical supply chain, Venus Remedies has gone for process upgradation with digital marketplaces for online ordering, real-time order tracking, payment reconciliation and live chat support. The company has adopted state-of-the-art IOT technologies to expand the reach of products to stockists/retailers directly and track shipments, along with essential data points like temperature, humidity and anti-tampering alarms, in real time. With Venus Remedies now serving small retailers and pharmacies directly from its warehouses through a parallel online delivery system, developing warehousing capabilities is also high on its agenda. It has developed proprietary warehousing algorithms for cartonisation and shipper-selection to reduce shipping and delivery time to half.
Having more than 25 Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) approvals for its globally benchmarked manufacturing facilities, Venus Remedies has also been accredited with the Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) certification for its research centre.
