South actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu joins Vicks brand ambassador and Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh in a new commercial for the company’s Vicks’ Two-in-One Roll-On Inhaler.
The two worked together to promote the Vicks Two-in-One Roll-On Inhaler in the movie, with Samantha playing a police officer who stops a sickly Ranveer who is seen breaking the signal.
When asked a question, Ranveer struggles to concentrate and informs Samantha that he has a horrible headache and runny nose. Samantha then delivers him a Vicks inhaler with a dual function, which instantly relieves Ranveer’s headache and blocked nose.
The clever commercial video shows how a headache and a blocked nose make it difficult for someone to concentrate on daily tasks.
The parent business changed its name to Richardson-Merrell and split in 1982 to become the over-the-counter medication firm Richardson-Vicks, which kept the Vicks name, and the prescription drug company Merrell Dow, which was sold to Dow Chemical Company.
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is home to the firm archives (as well as related personal documents of the Richardson family) from at least around 1920 up until the 1985 sale to Procter & Gamble. Dale R. Leonard started working at Vick’s Manufacturing in Hatboro, Pennsylvania, in November 1967.
Procter & Gamble sold Helen of Troy Ltd. the Vicks VapoSteam U.S. liquid inhalant business in March 2015.
Ranveer Singh, the brand ambassador for Vicks, said about the campaign: “I enjoyed the idea behind this campaign, and it was amazing working with Samantha for Vicks. With our busy schedules, we all have clogged noses and headaches rather frequently, and experiencing both symptoms at the same time can be distracting. Vicks’ Two-in-One Roll-On Inhaler is a wise and practical product that is destined to become a staple for many of us.
About her partnership with Vicks, Samantha Ruth Prabhu stated, “My family and I have used Vicks products for as long as I can remember, so this campaign was the ideal chance for me. Through this movie, we hope to spread the message that Vicks’ Two-in-One Roll-On Inhaler is a convenient method to treat a cold and a headache, even if you’re not at home.
According to Sahil Sethi, Category Leader for Personal Healthcare at Procter & Gamble Indian Subcontinent, “Inhalers and Vicks have long been associated with India. We are thrilled to welcome Ranveer and Samantha together for the first time to discuss the dual benefits of the Vicks Two-in-One Roll-On Inhaler in relieving both a headache and a clogged nose.
