June 12, 2014: Videocon d2h release a new campaign featuring Bollywood actor Parineeti Choptra focusing on the Indian value of accommodating interruptions during private moments. The new ad campaign which highlights the new feature of Videocon d2h that allows users to pause and record live television. The ad film conceptualized by Lowe Lintas and Partners features Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra as the company feels that she captures some of the sentiments of Indian values. This is for the first time that Videocon d2h is coming out with a campaign with some other celebrity other than Abhishek Bacchan who was endorsing the brand till now.
Speaking about the new campaign, Saurabh Dhoot, Director, Videocon was quoted as saying, “Indian values epitomise our society. They are a part of our lifestyle and culture. Our new brand campaign featuring Parineeti captures some of these sentiments of Indian values and integrates it with our product deliverables. We believe Parineeti is the most appropriate choice to communicate our brand values. With all these unique features, one can attend to others, without missing the action on TV.” Mr. Anil Khera, CEO, Videocon d2h added that since Parineeti has connect with the Indian masses because of the type of roles she play on the screen, it will help the brand to reach to the masses.
The new ad film of Videocon d2h shows different couples being interrupted on various occasions but highlighting the fact that Indians accommodate interruptions even during private moments and that it is in their value systems. The ad ends with Parineeti Choptra offering a solution of Videocon d2h with record and play facility and that at least while watching television people can take care of the interruptions with this new feature. This premium service from Videocon d2h of unlimited recording will be available to customers at Re 1 per day.
