Pledges to provide free Covid-19 vaccine to 1000 people below the poverty line and acknowledges the services of their front-line warriors @ VINN Hospital
Hyderabad: 17th March 2021: VINN Hospital celebrates National Vaccination Day by pledging to provide free Covid-19 vaccination to 1000 people below the poverty line. They also recognized their frontline warriors as ‘VINN Warriors’ and acknowledged their outstanding contribution and service to humanity during the Pandemic. The event was graced by Chief Guests, Shri Etela Rajendar, Health Minister, Govt of Telangana, Shri Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries & Cinematography, Govt of Telangana. Guest of Honour, Shri Bigala Ganesh Gupta, MLA, Nizamabad Constituency, B. Dayanand, MLC, K.Damodar, Chairman T.S. Police Housing Corporation, U. Srinivas, Gupta Chairman, T.S. Tourism Development Corporation, G. Balamallu, Chairman T.S. Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, M. Srinivas Reddy, Chairman Civil Supplies Corporation, along with Shri Nagender Pampati, Chairman, Dr.Vinayak Pampati , Managing Director, and Mr. Nagaraju Kura, Advisory Board Director, VINN Hospital along with their staff. A senior citizen was also vaccinated against COVID-19 during the event.
VINN Hospital also inaugurated a Free Food Camp, to serve over 200 needy people daily, as a CSR initiative, a part of ‘rise against hunger’ movement to end hunger by empowering communities, nourishing lives, and responding to emergencies.
In India, National Vaccination Day is celebrated every year on March 16. The day is widely known as National Immunisation Day. The National Vaccination Day was first observed on March 16, 1995. On this day, the first dose of the Oral Polio vaccine was given in India in the year 1995. The initiative to eradicate polio from India started with the Pulse Polio Campaign that was launched by the government. The importance of vaccination in today’s world cannot be overstated. Vaccines are the most effective way to prevent fatal and dangerous diseases known to man. Extensive vaccination campaigns across the world have resulted in the eradication of highly infectious and dangerous diseases like smallpox, measles, tetanus, and now helping in the crusade against Coronavirus.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Vinayak Pampati , Managing Director, VINN Hospital said,” We are happy to celebrate the National Vaccination Day, and pledge to vaccinate 1000 people below the poverty line for Covid-19 over the next few weeks. We are also acknowledging and saluting the efforts of our frontline VINN warriors including nurses, doctors, and other staff members, who have worked tirelessly during the pandemic, in a challenging environment to serve the patients. On this day, we are pleased to contribute towards the ‘rise against hunger’ movement by inaugurating our daily Free Food Camp, which will serve over 200 underprivileged people at the hospital every day. We are grateful to Shri Etela Rajendar, Health Minister, Govt of Telangana, and other prominent dignitaries for gracing this occasion. “
