Empowering the visually challenged through confidence-building and capacity development.

Mumbai, September 2023: Vision Foundation of India (VFI), India’s notable NGO known for providing affordable medical aid for eye-related issues, recently concluded their thoughtfully curated event, “Let’s Empower,” on September 4. The event highlighted VFI’s commitment to enabling the visually challenged community to lead empowered lives.

“Let’s Empower” was an innovative confidence and capacity development program designed specifically for the visually challenged. As part of VFI’s ongoing efforts to transform lives, the initiative aimed to bolster self-confidence and enhance skillsets among individuals with visual impairments. The event featured a dynamic 1.5-hour session led by the renowned motivational speaker, Avinash Ananda.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Kulin Kothari, Founder, VFI, said, “We believe that every human being has the right to sight, self-esteem, and happiness. Our mission with ‘Let’s Empower’ is to create a platform where the visually challenged can not only access medical aid but also acquire the tools they need to thrive in their personal and professional lives.”

The event was also graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Mangal Prabhat Lodha, the esteemed chief guest. His support for this initiative underlined the importance of collective efforts in promoting inclusivity and empowerment.

Mr. Mangal Prabhat Lodha, said, “Dr. Kulin Kothari is a man who is always willing to help others. He has a deep understanding of the suffering of others and is always willing to lend a helping hand. He puts emphasis on that, When God takes something from us, it is often to give us something better, and this event is more about taking out your own hidden strength.”

Vision Foundation of India has been a beacon of hope for those in need of eye care since its establishment in 1993. Through its unwavering dedication, VFI has provided free eye checkups and surgeries to destitute individuals across the nation, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and advanced medical instruments.

With a vision to eradicate preventable blindness in India, VFI has expanded its reach to rural areas, conducting numerous free eye camps and surgeries. The foundation’s mission aligns with Mahatma Gandhi’s belief that the heart of India resides in its villages.
