Kozhikode: India’s leading PU footwear manufacturer VKC Pride distributed prizes to the winning customers of a lucky draw organised as part of the Shop Local campaign, which was launched to energise the local economy and support neighbourhood shops affected by the pandemic. VKC Group Chairman VKC Mammad Koya distributed the prizes to the winners. Bumper prize of the Shop Local phase 1 lucky draw, Tata Tiago hatchback was received by the winner Sudheesh. Four others were gifted Royal Enfield motorbikes.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr VKC Razak, Managing Director of VKC Group, said: “The Shop Local campaign has received an overwhelming response from the local markets. The first and second phases of the campaign have helped local shop owners to overcome the challenges faced during the pandemic. The campaign has been able to stimulate the local markets during the crisis.”
The event also witnessed a lucky draw for the second phase of the Shop Local campaign. The first prize winner V. K. Anitha will get a prize money of Rs. 1 Lakh. The lucky draw for 100 winners of gold coins will be held online through social media. VKC Group also distributed five Tata Punch hatchbacks as mega bumper prizes and 12 Hero Passion Pro motorbikes to the retailers who performed well under the VKC Pride Incentive Scheme. Mr Shareef from Kanjirapalli received financial assistance as part of the Dealer Care Fund, an initiative for the welfare of dealers and employees launched by VKC Group as part of the Shop Local campaign.
