VMware is an American publicly traded software company. It provides cloud computing and virtualization software and services. NVIDIA, the leader in AI and computing companies. Recently VMware partners with NVIDIA in order to bring AI open for every enterprise. With this motive, they look to deliver an end to end AI platform to their unique data centers using NVIDIA’s data processing chips(DPU).
With this collaboration, Technology will be leveraged across VNWare’s spectrum, Vsphere, VMware Cloud foundation as well as with Tanzu platforms. The company generally aims to popularise AI as well as allocate AI-ready infrastructure in order to create a Hybrid cloud database using Smart NIC technology using the Bluefield-2 chip.Hence with this approach, it has become clear that this collaboration is going to be a great success for VMware.
In accordance with Nvidia’s recent AI Technology will lead to a large increase in its user base. However, it is also claimed that it proved to be 31% more accurate in training with AI models hence optimizing both the software as well as hardware.
Hence with the adoption of this deal, it starts facing tough competition from companies such as Google, IBM, Redhat, HPE, etc. This AI partnership proved to be a big game-changer for NVIDIA with its investment in the fields of AI and ML. They had also made an investment of 40 billion $ to leverage its powers in self-driving industries,5G Computing in order to become the key player in the global market.
On coming to the self-driving industry as we see Tesla cars have been equipped with NVIDIA’S hardware which brought advancement in Tesla’s technological approach.Whereas on the other hand, the long-standing partnership with Intel CPU had accommodated with VMware because of its dominance in the data market.
With the advancement in its technologies with respect to time, it has become dominant to a greater extent and hence proves to be the right choice for AI-based, cloud applications as well as the data centers. Other than this the company has also released its Nervana Neural Network Processor known as Myriad2 AI chip in order to carry out most ambitious AI applications. It faces tough competition with companies like AWS – Inferential, IBM -8bits, Huawei – Ascend 910 & Ascend 310, AMD – Radeon M160 as well as Google with its Tensor Processing Unit in the list offast-moving AI Leadership.
