On Monday, the Germany based car manufacturer Volkswagen announced the launch of a new variant of its premium hatchback vehicle, Polo. This new version of Polo carries a price tag that falls between Rs 5.24 lakh and Rs 8.42 lakh. This is the ex-showroom Mumbai pricing of the Volkswagen Polo 2015.
Michael Mayer, the Director of Volkswagen Group Sales India of Volkswagen Passenger Cars revealed an official statement regarding the vehicle. He stated that the Volkswagen Polo 2015’s new version has been designed in such a way that is enhances the driving comfort of their customers.
He also stated that the manufacturer is bullish in the Indian market with the introduction of the new Polo hatchback with enhanced features ahead of the festive season. The company hopes that the Polo will be appealing the determined buyers in the country to buy it.
Volkswagen has introduced six models in the new Polo lineup and these include Polo, GT TSI, GT TDI and Cross Polo models. These are already available from the authorized Volkswagen dealerships all over the country.
This new version called Volkswagen Polo 2015 will include advanced features. These features include cooked glove box, cruise control and electrically foldable ORVMs that have turn indicators as well. Of these, the cruise control and eclectically folding wing mirrors are meant for the high-end variants. The ORVMs’ turn indicators are for all the variants of the 2015 lineup and chilled glovebox is for the mid Comfortline model.
On the mechanical front, there is no change in the 2015 Polo lineup. The lineup has a MPI petrol engine that is a 1.2 litre three cylinder one, and it renders 110 Nm of torque and 75 PS of power. On the other hand, the TDI diesel engine is a 1.5 litre four cylinder one. It renders 90 PS power and 230 Nm torque on the GT TDI variant. Finally, the 1.2 litre four cylinder TSI turbocharged petrol engine in the GT TSI renders 175 Nm torque and 105 PS power.
