Jan 9, 2013: To overcome the traffic chaos and to tackle urban congestion to an extent Volkswagen is coming out with a 
single seat electric car. This single seat concept electric car has been named as “Nils” and it is a part of the ‘MicroCity’ concept. Nils would be unveiled in the fifth edition of the Indo German Urban Mela which is to be held from January 11-21 in India. This concept car is going to be showcased only in India and based on the feedback and trial will go into the production stage. Nil which is an electric car would be compact in size and would have dimensions of 3.04m x 1.39m x 1.2 m. The car is said to have a aluminium frame, free standing wheels and wing doors.
