Wadhwani Foundation announces the appointment of Meetul Patel

Meetul Patel has been named President of Wadhwani Entrepreneur by the Wadhwani Foundation. This is a very important job. Meetul will be in charge of the Wadhwani Foundation’s projects to build entrepreneurial ecosystems and help small businesses grow faster. This is a strategic appointment that goes along with the Foundation’s growing global presence in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. It is meant to strengthen and scale up the Foundation’s mission of creating high-quality jobs and improving the lives of millions of people.

Meetul was Microsoft India’s lead for strategic growth until recently. He was in charge of creating strategic partnerships and new platforms to bring the benefits of technology to markets that hadn’t had access to it before. Before this, he was the chief operating officer (COO) of Microsoft India, where he was in charge of business and product planning, marketing, and sales operations. He was in charge of setting strategy, managing investments, and coordinating the organisation to make sure the Microsoft portfolio grew across the Enterprise, Public Sector, Small Business, Consumer, and Partner segments as the company changed.

Meetul Patel, President, Wadhwani Entrepreneur at Wadhwani Foundation, was happy to join the Foundation. He said, “I am excited to work with the Wadhwani Foundation team to increase access to the resources needed to spark entrepreneurship in students, help entrepreneurs build new businesses, and support small businesses that are trying to grow faster.” And through their success as a group, create the jobs needed to help improve the lives of millions of people who are barely getting by.

Meetul’s appointment will add to the Foundation’s highly skilled and experienced global management team. He will help the Foundation’s projects grow by using his experience with ecosystems, technology platforms, and a global perspective.

Meetul Patel said, “Even though the world has changed a lot in the last few decades, many families still struggle to live in a decent way. To create shared prosperity, millions of job seekers in the Global South need to be able to find jobs that can support their families. Small businesses have the best chance of creating these jobs because they can grow quickly, and entrepreneurs have the best chance of coming up with new ways to empower people and give them the affordable, long-lasting products they need.
