WhatsApp is the most widely used messaging app in the world. It has billions of users and is still gaining new customers from time to time. Recently, it released some interesting updates for its users.
It gave the users of the mobile version the option to give a reaction as a reply to messages. It has even increased the number of video callers in one call to 32. It is even planning to increase the file sending size to more than 1 GB.
But sometimes some bugs do make their way into some versions. Recently, version 2.2219.2 stable update for desktop users fixed one such bug. Before this update, some users were complaining about not getting push notifications on their desktops. This problem was also being faced by some of the beta users previously. But that problem was fixed with the version 2.2218.8 update for beta users. Beta users are now facing no issues in their beta version for desktop. It has also been said that if the stable version users of the desktop are still facing issues with push notifications. Then they can use the beta version of desktop as it is safe to install currently.
WhatsApp is trying hard to remain relevant. This is because Web 3 is approaching fast. The cry for independent internet is also increasing. The competitors like Telegram and Signal are also slowly gaining momentum. The vast improvement in apps like Google Messages is also getting the limelight. Google Messages now support RCS. So other than iMessage, there are many more opponents
There are also concerns about data privacy. These concerns are being dealt with by companies like WhatsApp through encryption. But there is still some doubt. Over time these doubts will get cleared with gradual progress.
Shortly, it will also release the broad reply information option for automatic albums. Currently, it is available for beta testers of Android. It is already available for iOS users. These features are going to make the experience better for the users. Some other future updates are also being planned for this year. For example, the group admins will be able to delete the unwanted messages, communities options will also be available for all.
