Digital technologies are now essential for the majority of contemporary firms in their quest to reimagine their business models, improve their goods and services considerably via constant innovation, and provide a better customer experience.
Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) Pilani’s Work Integrated Learning Programs (WILP) division has launched a two-year MBA in Digital Business programme to help empower working professionals and their organizations supporting such progressive businesses and their customers in their constant efforts.
During the projection period, the digital transformation market is expected to increase in value from USD 521.5 billion in 2021 to USD 1247.5 billion in 2026, at a CAGR of 19.1 percent, according to a MarketsandMarkets market research analysis.
Startups in this field have been particularly prolific in the United States, with many of them going on to become household names in their respective industries.
Four semesters, each lasting approximately five months, comprise the MBA in Digital Business curriculum. Students may attend lessons whenever it is convenient for them, whether that be on the weekend or after regular work hours, since they are provided online. In creating the curriculum, we focused on the five pillars of digital business: management basics, digital business management, customer centricity in digital enterprises, data-driven decisions and new technologies.
There are eight introductory courses in accounting, finance and economics, as well as four courses in the digital business field and two optional courses in the program’s core curriculum. Digital business design, strategies for digital business, digital customer experience management, and digital technology and analytics are all part of the Digital Business core curriculum. BITS Pilani’s state-of-the-art management, analytics, and finance laboratories may also be used by participants of this programme to obtain hands-on skills via experiential learning assignments, such as case studies and business simulations.
Professor Krishnamurthy Bindumadhavan, Group Leader, Management Programmes, WILP, BITS Pilani, emphasized the importance of professionals and leaders to understand how digitalization and digital businesses work as well as to design and develop cutting-edge digital business strategies and processes effectively. In fact, this two-year MBA in Digital Business program’s primary goal is to teach participants how to use data-driven decision making and new technologies to improve digital business operations,” according to the program’s website.
Many working professionals from many industries and sectors have taken use of BITS Pilani WILP for over four decades to reskill or upskill themselves — and all without having to quit their existing jobs and duties. Working professionals may visit BITS Pilani’s Work Integrated Learning Program (WILP) website to learn more about the goals of various programmes for persons (for whom admissions are currently available), register their account, and follow the procedure outlined on the website as necessary. There is a July 11, 2022, deadline for applications to several programmes, including the MBA in Digital Business, to be submitted.
