Wipro Q3 Has a Net Profit of Around Rs 2,969 Crore

The biggest IT services firm, Wipro on Wednesday posted a consolidated net income of Rs 2,969 crore for the December quarter of 2021 amid strong earnings and orders.

Wipro Limited is an Indian international company headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Its various businesses include FMCG, lighting, information technology, and consulting. Fortune India 500 is the 29th largest Indian company in terms of total revenue.

According to Wipro’s regulatory filing, shareholders had a net profit of Rs 2,968 crore during the same period last year.

Continuously, its net profit rose 1.3 per cent.

Operating income rose 29.6 per cent to Rs 20,313.6 crore during the quarter ended December 2020, from Rs 15,670 crore in the year-ago period.

Wipro expects revenue (revenue) from IT services to increase from $ 2,692 million to $ 2,745 million in March 2022. This translates into a continuous growth of 2 per cent to 4 per cent in the March quarter.

According to the company’s forecast for October, IT services revenue for the December 2021 quarter rose 2.3 per cent to $ 2,639.7 million.

In October, Wipro reported revenue of $ 2,631-2,683 million in the December quarter from the IT services business, the steady growth of 2-4 per cent.

Wipro posted strong earnings on revenue and margins for the fifth consecutive quarter.

“Bookings have also been strong, adding seven new customers in the $100 million leagues in the last 12 months,” said Thierry Delaporte, Wipro CEO, and Managing Director.

Wipro’s strategy and performance improvements have kept it working well and the company is confident of accelerating that momentum, he added.

Jatin Dalal, Chief Financial Officer of Wipro, said that “We are pleased to complete the acquisition of Edgile and LeanSwift Solutions this quarter, which will expand our capabilities,”
