Talking about the campaign, Jinisha Sharma, Principal, ESG & Impact at Capri Global said, “From the onset, we wanted to create a strong brand identity for the UP Warriorz, and that was considered key from the moment we acquired the UP team in the WPL. Our ideas were clear, to showcase the team in such a way that they would identify with the people of Uttar Pradesh and the country. The agency’s idea of Uttar Pradesh ka Har Warrrior Uttar Dega resonated along with the logo paying rich tribute to UP’s true blue warrior Jhansi Ki Rani. It drove home to the squad, the importance of the bond with the people of the Uttar Pradesh, and India. The rousing and catchy anthem, along with the way the branding has been subtly kept in focus impressed us. The fans have already started engaging very positively with the anthem and the team is charged up, and I’m certain that humara har warrior uttar dega.”
Amit Akali, Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, Wondrlab, said, “It’s a historic moment for us at Wondrlab, getting to work on the first Women’s Premier League, that too with a strong team like UP Warriorz. We knew it’s a responsibility to create something that can and should stand the test of time and resonate with all of India and the passion called cricket. To do justice to the land that this team is representing, we ensured that the logo, jerseys, bus design, the anthem and film do justice to their fighting spirit. And to be authentic, we shot the film in three different cities of Uttar Pradesh. We believe that the film is the perfect mix of sportsmanship and entertainment. It’s incorrigibly Uttar Pradesh!”
