WPP has announced that it has acquired a leading Brazilian technology innovation and software engineering firm, DTI Digital (DTI). DTI will benefit from the global network of WPP and its partnerships with its clients and customers, including the biggest technology firms in the world.

In 2009, DTI was founded and employs 800 people. Vale, Localiza, MRV, FCA, Gerdau, Serasa Experian, Hermes Pardini, Pottencial, BS2, Ânima, and Bayer are part of the client list, which also comprises some of Brazil’s biggest national and international corporations as well as foreign companies. Brazil is the biggest WPP market in Latin America with more than 4,000 staff and USD 300 million in sales. WPP operates in Brazil for a wide variety of international and local customers, including Coca-Cola, Visa, Nike, Vivo, Itaipava, and Casas Bahia.

From the development of back-office support systems such as supply automation and data collection tools to consumer-facing technologies and platforms like e-commerce markets and customer service interfaces, DTI’s digital solutions help businesses become more productive, digitalized, and completely connected to their customers. The proprietary strategy of DTI focused on agile philosophy and design thinking, enables it to scale up its specialist production teams, including more than 600 software engineers, in response to customer demands quickly and efficiently.

The acquisition is in line with the targets set out by WPP in its December 2020 Capital Markets Day to extend its footprint in the fields of expertise, trade, and technology that are rising faster. In specific, it will enhance the capability of WPP to meet the end-to-end digital transformation ambitions of its customers in Brazil and beyond, by complementing and extending the current ad tech and structure of WPP.

WPP consumers are searching for fully integrated technologies that merge innovation with cutting-edge technology to help them evolve and react to the constantly evolving market climate. BY welcoming DTI Digital to WPP they can work together to deliver transformative results for their clients.
