WPP has announced the acquisition of Corebiz, a leading Latin American eCommerce agency specializing in VTEX implementation, one of the region’s largest enterprise digital commerce platforms. Corebiz, founded in 2013, employs over 600 people across Latin America, with the majority of its employees based in Brazil’s So Paulo and Franca offices. The company’s Brazilian operations will join the VMLY&R COMMERCE global network, with additional regional outposts joining the network over the next year.
Corebiz’s clients include industry titans such as Whirlpool, Casino Group, Walmart, Carrefour, Decathlon, and Estée Lauder. It specializes in three key pillars of eCommerce digital solutions: acquisition, which includes everything from creating key visuals for impactful digital campaigns to driving targeted SEO; conversion, which includes CRO and full stack development; and loyalty, which includes everything from CRM system implementation to managing consumer data and running targeted promotional campaigns. As a VTEX implementation specialist, the agency assists clients in reducing time-to-market, reaching audiences across multiple channels, and identifying new growth areas in Latin America and beyond.
This acquisition reflects WPP’s ongoing investment in expanding its commerce offering for clients as consumer needs evolve. It is in line with WPP’s accelerated growth strategy, and it builds on existing capabilities in commerce and technology. WPP is a Leader in Forrester’s global Commerce Services Wave, managing more than $40 billion in direct and $20 billion in marketplace GMV for clients and employing 13,500 commerce specialists across its agencies.
“After witnessing the impact that strong digital commerce strategies can have on business growth in Latin America and around the world, companies in Latin America and around the world are looking to expand their eCommerce capabilities over the last two and a half years,” said Stefano Zunino, Country Manager for WPP in Brazil. Corebiz’s market-leading knowledge of enterprise commerce platforms like VTEX will strengthen our commerce expertise even further. I am excited to welcome the Corebiz team as we expand our offerings to clients in Brazil and beyond.”
“Boosting our creative commerce offering to drive conversion every day for our clients is an essential ingredient to creating connected brands,” said Beth Ann Kaminkow, Global CEO of VMLY&R COMMERCE. Corebiz’s team is not only an expert in this field, but they also share our philosophy for developing a thriving company culture alongside business growth. We are very excited to begin working with our client base.”
“Over the last few years, we have actively participated in the acceleration of the Latin American eCommerce market,” said Corebiz Founders and Co-CEOs Felipe Macedo and Renan Mota. Our current goal is to spread this knowledge throughout the rest of the world. We are excited to strengthen e-commerce enablement for VMLY&R COMMERCE’s global clients by joining WPP and the VMLY&R COMMERCE network.”
