Xiaomi Mi Note and Mi Note Pro Phablets Launched Officially

Putting the rumors to rest, Xiaomi announced two new devices at an event held in Beijing on Thursday. The highly anticipated Mi 5 smartphone did not make its way at the event, but it was a flagship phablet called Mi Note that was launched. Alongside this phablet, Xiaomi also unveiled another phablet called Mi Note Pro that is a more powerful and pricier version of the Mi Note. Let’s take a look at the specifications, features and pricing of these phablets below.

Xiaomi Ni Note

As far as the flagship phablet is concerned, the Mi Note boasts of a 5.7 inch Full HD 1080p display with dynamic contrast pixel adjustment technology that will improve the contrast of darker regions to make the picture brighter. The phablet also features 2.5D curved glass alongside Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on both sides to prevent scratches and shatters.

Under its hood, the Mi Note is equipped with a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 quad core chipset teamed up with Adreno 330 graphics unit and 3 GB of RAM. There are 16 GB and 64 GB of internal storage options that cannot be expanded further.

The imaging hardware of the Mi Note phablet comprises of a 13 MP primary camera the back with optical image stabilization and dual tone flash with the ability to adjust the intensity of LED flash. There is a front facing 4 MP selfie snapper as well for video conferencing. A 3,000 mAh battery powers the flagship phablet that comes with dual SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Xiaomi Mi Note Pro

When it comes to the upgraded variant of the phablet, the Mi Note Pro is given a 5.7 inch 2K 2560×1440 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 as well. The device incorporates an octa core Snapdragon 810 chipset with 64 bit processing and is backed by 4 GB of RAM and Adreno 430 graphics unit.
Otherwise, the Mi Note Pro has 64 GB of default storage capacity and boasts of connectivity aspects including LTE-Cat 9 with up to 450 Mpbs download speeds. The imaging aspects of the upgraded variant are identical to that of the Mi Note, but it is powered by a slightly enhanced 3,090 mAh battery.
Price
The Xiaomi Mi Note is priced at 2,299 Yuan (approx. Rs 23,000) and the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro with upgraded aspects costs 3,299 Yuan (approx. Rs 32,000).
