ZEE appoints Mahesh pratap as head of investor

The company was launched on 15 December 1991 as Zee Telefilms, the brand name that was retained until 2006.

Zee entertainment enterprises lunched a kids show channel named Nickelodeonin 1999 as part of a distribution deal between Viacom International and Zee Telefilms. It was replaced by a new Cartoon Network block in 2002.

Singh previously worked for the Flipkart Group, where he held various leadership positions in investor relations and ESG. Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd.

(ZEE), the leading Content Company, has appointed Mahesh Pratap Singh as Head of Investor Relations, where he will be in charge of engaging with the investor and analyst community.

Mahesh will be based in Mumbai and will report to Rohit Gupta, President – Finance & Investor Relations, ZEE.

Mahesh will play an important role as a partner to analysts and investors, communicating the Company’s strategy and investment approach at this critical juncture in growth.

He will strengthen corporate-investor relations even further by expanding his reach and perception within the investment community, to significantly increase shareholder value creation.

Mahesh is skilled corporate finance professional with 19 years of diverse experience in global investor relations for private and public companies, equity and debt capital market transactions, fundraising, strategic finance initiatives, ESG and corporate affairs, and other operational roles.

Previously, Mahesh worked for the Flipkart Group, where he held various leadership positions in investor relations and ESG.

He was instrumental in conceptualising and leading the group’s investor relations programme, as well as being a member of the core fundraising team that raised one of the largest private investments in the Indian internet sector.

He also collaborated with the teams working on the Walmart investment transaction.

In addition to overseeing the investor relations programme, Mahesh was instrumental in developing and implementing a comprehensive ESG vision and impact agenda, as well as managing environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and strategic corporate affairs programmes.

Previously, he worked for Tata Communications, where he established the investor relations function and Firstsource Solutions.

Mahesh holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the College of Technology and Engineering (CTAE) Udaipur. The appointment of Mahesh is effective immediately.
